It was almost freezing yesterday, thankfully I bought a coat the day before when I happened to take shelter from the rain and found a small shop.
sowhen yesterday we had gone to the Dendenong ranges to have a look at the view from there of Melbourne i felt pretty snug.
Shagun and Abhay's friends had got some stuff for barbecue and we had packed some alu poori . Altogether it was a great day and we all had fun, got some nice pictures but sorely missed having a tripod.
Had decided to take easy today, just go walking maybe but soon realised that today Shagun had again left her lunch at home so decided to take it to her. It was a bright sunny day so decided to make the most of it and went to the south bank to take pictures, got some relly good ones and now I cant wait to upload them to flickr

saturday 14th June

The weather man predicts a cold, windy and rainy day but outside its shining so I grab my camera and make a dash to catch those yellow daisies in sunshine. I saw them yesterday and decided to come back when the weather was better. They looked awesome in someone's front yard and I waste no time and take my shots, almost like stealing, satisfied I decide to walk further hoping to find something else to shoot and I see this nice row of trees on the divider and get a few good angles. The ease with which I can move on the footpath without worrying about me and my camera being snapped up, what a welcome change from Uganda!
I continue walking and lo and behold, there is the duck pond! I have been there before but this seems to be another route. All the ducks come dwaddling upto me hoping to get some tidbits, then settle down to rest when they see nothing coming and I get busy getting some good shots. The pond and the gardens look lovely in the sunlight but before I know it suddenly the sky is overcaste and it begins to rain, I rush to take cover. Well at least I got some nice ones...

well, Its exactly a month since I left Kampala and came to Australia, the last few weeks seem to be a blur , walking, shooting, more walking and more shooting, so mch to look at so much to capture, no dearth of subject, colour or form, every tree, flower or leaf looks new, waiting to be captured though my lens , looked at through my eyes, I can walk down the same road the very next day and see somethign entirely different. I wonder if it is to do with a new place, my hightened sensibilities or just being down under? as if I am like a tiny pin stuck to the bottom of the earth? down under!!.....funny feeling
